    Where Do You Get Your Wonderful Art Backgrounds?

    Using his natural artistic talent and expertise in digital artistry, Astonishing Arts founder Steve Davis has spent hundreds of hours creating fantastic and beautiful art backgrounds called artscapes for you to explore.  

    Unique to Astonishing Arts, each artscape painting is made to be an ideal expression of your dreams and imagination. Since you are the star of our artscapes, no two paintings are ever the same.

    New artscapes are added all the time, so visit our What's New page often. Everything we do is motivated by our commitment to offer you the very best and most exciting artscapes we can. If there's an artscape theme you'd like to see but that we don't yet have available, please let us know. We'd love to hear your ideas for future artscapes.



    Who Owns My Original Photo?

    You own the copyright to the photos you submit. Astonishing Arts does not claim copyright for any original, unaltered photograph or image submitted by you to Astonishing Arts for the commission of our artwork. Such copyright belongs to you if you are the creator, owner or legal licensee of such photograph or image. However, by submitting your original copyrighted photos or images, electronically or physically to Astonishing Arts, you are granting us the right to modify and/or manipulate them to create our artwork. You are also granting Astonishing Arts the right to display such copyrighted photos or images as components of our print, electronic and web-based sales or marketing presentations. The copyrights to any derivative artwork created by Astonishing Arts from your submitted photo or image belong to Astonishing Arts. Visit our Terms and Conditions page to learn more.

     


    What Is The Best Way To Submit My Photo?

    To ensure that your final work of art is the very best it can be, Astonishing Arts strongly recommends that you upload/email us a digital photo that has been either:

    • scanned into your computer or
    • taken with a standard digital camera of your choice.

    The resolution of digital photographs you submit must be at least 200 dpi (dots per inch) at a minimum. Image dimensions that are 1,024x768 pixels are adequate for most Astonishing Arts artwork, but, when possible, a larger size of 1600x1200 pixels or more is recommended.     What Materials Do You Use to Create My Artwork?


    Astonishing Arts offers several material options for the creation of your exclusive artwork. They include:

     


    What Are Your Payment Policies?

    Astonishing Arts executes the purchase of its products and services exclusively through PayPal's online payment service. Payment can be made from either your credit card or bank account. All payments sent electronically through PayPal are securely transmitted using PayPal's proprietary technology.

    Astonishing Arts does not have access to view bank account or credit card numbers, or any other information a client may provide to PayPal to complete a purchase.

    • All standard artwork purchases are to be Paid In Full at the time of the request for a specific product or service. No request will be considered or executed without payment.
    • Commissioned artwork requires a 50% deposit before work begins at the time of request. The final 50% of the payment for custom pieces is due at completion of the project and satisfaction of the commissioner.

    What Are Your Shipping Costs?

    Shipping costs for Astonishing Arts are already reflected in the purchase price of standard artwork. However, shipping costs may vary for custom/commissioned artwork.

     


    What Is Your Refund and Return Policy: Satisfaction Guaranteed!

    Astonishing Arts is delighted that we have yet to have a dissatisfied client! However in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your standard artwork once it has been received, you have 14 days to return undamaged artwork at your expense to Astonishing Arts. Once your artwork has been returned, you will receive a full refund of the artwork purchase price.

    In the case of completely custom art, you'll receive 100% of the purchase price as store credit. (Custom work involves a much greater commitment of time and effort from us, and that fact is reflected in the custom artwork refund policy.)

    Return Due To Loss or Damage In the Mail: If your Giclee artwork order is lost or damaged during shipping, Astonishing Arts will replace it free of charge. In the case of damaged canvas or poster artwork, Astonishing Arts may request that you return your artwork to us at your expense. Once we receive your returned art, we will process the creation of a new work and ship it to you. Additional shipping charges may apply.

    How Long Does It Take To Receive My Artwork?

    Due to the high demand for and special attention given to the creation of our unique artwork, Astonishing Arts standard orders are delivered in an average of 2 to 4 weeks. This time frame provides time for project development, client art proof approval, printing, packaging and shipping. The start-to-delivery times of custom artwork commissions are variable.

    All standard and custom artwork are created in the order their payments are received. Astonishing Arts begins processing orders immediately upon verification that full payment has been received.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE: Delivery times may vary dependent upon the shipping method chosen, your Art Approval Proof response time, your shipping address location or any unforeseen technical or mailing issues beyond our control.

     


    Why Was My Photo Submission Rejected?

    Unusable Photo Submission: Astonishing Arts reserves the right to reject photos which it believes are too inferior to be used for artwork creation. (If we reject a photo submission due to poor quality, we will request a better version from you or supply you with a full refund if no suitable image can be obtained.)

    Objectionable Material: Astonishing Arts reserves the sole discretion to reject or cancel any order with or without cause at any time. Astonishing Arts may refuse to create any work that it considers illegal, libelous, defamatory, obscene, profane, portraying irresponsible use of alcohol or other substances, advocating persecution based on gender, age, race, religion, disability or national origin, or containing explicit sexual content. A full refund will be given for orders which are cancelled due to such rejection or refusal.
